The Varsity Girl's Warriors beat South Meck on the 16th 15 - 5 at the Sabres stadium.
A special congratulations to Whitney Workman for scoring her 100th career goal. She tallied a total of 6 in the game. Other goal earners were Dani Decesare, Alene Harfmann, Courtney Hewitt, Allie Martinez, Kat Morgan, Rachel Wallon and Kayla Wynne. Weddington also tallied 6 assists and a season high 15 draw controls.
Leading the team in ground balls was Workman and Amanda Klinkatsis with 3 each. Contributing to the Warriors' solid defense were Jordan Grover, Reagan Howard, and Tori Trevisan. The Powerhouse in goal, Paulina Ragunas made 5 saves in the contest keeping the Sabres to only 5 goals.
Way to go Warriors!
Their next game is a JV/Varsity Double-header against Myers Park on Friday the 19th at Weddington.

The Girl's Varsity team was defeated by Charlotte Catholic on Tuesday the 9th with a final score of 11-18.
The Warriors offense was lead by Whitney Workman who had 4 goals and Kayla Wynne adding 3 from the defensive midfield. Other players adding goals were Alene Harfmann, Kristen Shank and Rachel Wallon. Contributing on attack with one assist each were Courtney Hewitt, Allie Martinez, Workman, and Kat Morgan.
Catholic's Catherine Ellis dominated in draw controls, but the warriors pushed in the midfield with draw controls from Jordan Grover, Amanda Klinkatsis, Shank, Wallon and Morgan. Leading the team in Caused turnovers was Goalkeeper Paulina Ragunas with 4, followed by Reagan Howard with 3. Ragunas was a powerhouse in goal tallying 17 saves in the contest with a 48% save percentage!
Though the warriors lost the game, they played their hearts out and recorded the best score against Charlotte Catholic since 2007.
Way to go warriors!
